After nine years of eCommerce, Sonoma Wool Company will celebrate the opening of its first retail store with a grand opening on Dec. 3, at 84 Underpass Road in Brewster.
Sonoma Wool Company sources wool from family ranches throughout the United States to make luxury bedding products and felted practical wool products. Products include comforters, pillows, mattress toppers, woven blankets, its signature dish drying mat, ironing board pads, pressing pads, batting, stuffing, insoles, and pet toys.
“Wool is the most incredible natural fiber with multiple attributes – no synthetic fiber can replicate all that wool has to offer,” says founder Amy Chestnut. “As more and more people are rediscovering the wonders of wool, we felt it was time to have a place where folks can come and learn all about it — touch it, feel it, and regularly use wool in their homes.”
Chestnut adds that Brewster is particularly fitting for the location of the company’s first retail store, as the town is where wool cloth production began in the United States.
