The Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands (PPCI) is pleased to announce the addition of new members to its volunteer board of directors: Wendy Cullinan of Sandwich, Jennifer Cummings of Onset, and Christopher Ellis of Brewster. The three development professionals were voted in during the PPCI annual meeting at the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis this afternoon. Each will serve a three-year term.
Wendy Cullinan is the Director of Resource Development for Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. Prior to her position at Habitat, Wendy enjoyed working as a consultant for several Cape Cod non-profits including, the National Marine Life Center, Association to Preserve Cape Cod, Woods Hole Research Center and Gosnold Treatment Center. She is an ongoing member of Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands and has served for several years on the Philanthropy Day planning committee. Wendy raised her family in Sandwich, where she was a volunteer for many school programs, taught Art History and was a member of the School Council.
Jennifer “Jenn” Cummings is the Associate Director of Development at the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation where she focuses on major donor strategy, grants, donor engagement and campaign implementation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was Director of Development at Cotuit Center for the Arts. She is the past co-chair of Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod and the current co-chair of the New England Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (NEAHP) educational conference. She is also a member of the NEAHP board of directors. Jenn earned her BA in Psychology from Providence College and her MSW in Health, Aging and Disability Policy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Christopher “Chris” Ellis is the Senior Development Associate at Community Health Center of Cape Cod (CHCCC) in Mashpee. In this role, he is responsible for grant writing and reporting, donor cultivation, marketing and public relations. He also volunteers as a basketball coach for the town of Brewster and teaches Junior Achievement through Falmouth VIPS. Prior to moving to Cape Cod, he worked for a decade in various development capacities in New York City. He holds a B.S. degree in public relations from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.
Also during the annual meeting, the following board members were re-elected for one-year terms as PPCI Officers: President, Pauline Neves, CFRE of Mashpee, Vice-President, Kristin O’Malley of West Barnstable, Treasurer, Jay Coburn of Truro, and Secretary, Kathy Zagzebski of Buzzards Bay.
The PPCI board further consists of Directors: Gerry Desautels of West Yarmouth, Douglas MacDonald of Falmouth, Tammy Harper of Harwich, Barbara Milligan of Falmouth, Diane Salomone of Brewster, and Sarah Tribuzio of Sagamore Beach.
