Cape Abilities receives $5,000 Community Grant from the Massachusetts Bankers Association Charitable Foundation

Cape Abilities was nominated by Cape Cod Five and then selected to receive a $5,000 community grant from the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s 2017 Massachusetts Bankers Association Charitable Foundation.
The Massachusetts Bankers Association Charitable Foundation, supported by approximately 150 commercial, savings and co-operative banks and savings and loan associations banks throughout Massachusetts and New England, distributed grants over eight geographic regions in Massachusetts, giving awards to deserving social service agencies.
“We were very pleased to nominate Cape Abilities for the gift from the Massachusetts Bankers Association Charitable Foundation,” said Cape Cod Five President and CEO Dorothy Savarese. “We appreciate all the work that Cape Abilities does to empower citizens with disabilities by creating meaningful opportunities to work and contribute to the social fabric of our community.”
“Cape Cod Five has been a longstanding stalwart partner of Cape Abilities and we are honored that they nominated us for this recognition and we truly appreciate the generosity of the MBA Charitable Foundation,” noted Rosalie Edes, President/Executive Director at Cape Abilities.  “Grants like this go directly to fund the services that make a difference in the  lives of those we serve.”

Parent, Chairman of the MBA Charitable Foundation, and president and CEO of Blue Hills Bank. “This foundation has done so much good work over the years, yet each year we see more need. That’s why we re-dedicate ourselves to this effort to help in any way we can.”
