Friends’ Marketplace to celebrate 20th Anniversary

Live Music, Vendor Demos, Giveaways, BBQ and much more to be included in the celebration

Friends’ Marketplace, 57 Main St., Orleans, will celebrate its 20th Anniversary next weekend. They will be holding different events throughout the day on Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26 and will also be offering a special sales flyer.
On Friday, May 25, the day will begin at 11 a.m. with Yankee Trader Product Sampling. From 3:30-6 p.m., Alfred Aiello of Quincy, Mass., will be offering pasta samples and pairing them with wine. Also during that time, there will be craft beer tastings from local breweries and live music with Jordan Renzi at their Garden Stage.

 

On Saturday, May 26, the festivities begin at 8 a.m. with Friends’ Bakery samples and coffee. Come sample some of the bakery’s latest baked goods. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m., The Good Times Dixieland Band will be performing. There will be a BBQ with gourmet burgers, store-made sausages and hot dogs with a Polar beverage and Cape Cod Potato chips on the side all for a suggested donation of $5 to raise money for the Lower Cape Kiwanis Club. Several vendors will be sampling out their products during that time including Snowy Owl Coffee, Captain Parkers’ Chowder, Health Ade Kombucha, RXBar, Boar’s Head, Blount Soup, Cape Cod Creamery and Willow’s Cranberries. From 2-5 p.m., 90+ Cellars will be distributing wine samples. There will be various giveaways throughout the day.

 

Friends’ Marketplace and Garden Center is an award winning, independently owned grocery store and full-fledged outdoor garden center. It has been in operation since 1998 in downtown Orleans, Massachusetts. The store is owned by local residents, Brian and Monila Junkins.
