Anne Tangen’s Promotion to EVP of The Coop Announced at Annual Employee Celebration

Hyannis, MA — The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod announced the promotion of Anne Tangen to Executive Vice President.  An executive with The Coop since 2013, Tangen oversees Information Technology, Information Security, Project Management, Deposit Operations, Loan Servicing, Quality Control, Customer Assistance Center and Document Control.  The announcement was made at the bank’s annual employee celebration held on the campus of The Cape Cod Museum of Art and Cape Cod Cinema.
“Anne is a visionary leader with an exceptional skill set and track record,” said Lisa Oliver, President and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.  “In her expanded leadership role, she’ll be instrumental in the continued growth and success of the bank.”
Tangen began her career at Fidelity Investments, where she held a variety of leadership positions in Accounting, Internal Audit, and Information Technology during her fourteen-year tenure. She then went on to run the Global Cash Management Division at State Street Bank before being promoted to Executive Vice President. In that role she was successfully established State Street’s market leadership in the fastest growing segment of investment management; high net worth, family office, and the growing independent advisor market.
Tangen is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a BA in Economics. She is the founder of the Alden Pettengill Foundation, treasurer of the Congregational Church of South Dartmouth and a Board member of board of the YMCA Cape Cod. She is also a former Board Director of Boys and Girls Clubs of Middlesex County, BayCoast Bank, and served on the Board of Managers for Plimoth Advisors.
The Coop also recognized more than 50 award winners during the celebration.  Among the other awards presented that night, the Bank recognized Unsung Heroes, Good Community Citizens, the Diversity and Inclusion Team, and employee-voted award winners who demonstrate the Bank’s core values.
