B/SPOKE Studios To Host Falmouth Road Race Prep Party

B/SPOKE Studios is hosting a Falmouth Road Race Prep Party at Mashpee Commons Saturday, Aug. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and will feature a fitness class, food and entertainment.

The 50th running of the Falmouth Road Race will be held the following day on Sunday, Aug. 21.

B/SPOKE’s Race Prep Party will be held under its Big Top Tent on Benefit Street in Mashpee Commons (on the Village Green across the street from the Mashpee Public Library). B/SPOKE has year-round classes at its permanent Cape House studio at Mashpee Commons, offering a wide variety of indoor cycling, strength training and yoga classes, as well as personal training options.

The event was the brainchild of B/SPOKE community activists Jessie Strohm and Maura Crowley, who wanted to create a community event for local fitness enthusiasts, runners and visitors who are here to run or attend the Falmouth Road Race.

“There is a huge community of B/SPOKE riders from our Mashpee and off-Cape studios who also run the Falmouth Road Race,” said Strohm. “Our Prep Party will provide the perfect opportunity for runners to get their bodies and minds ready for the race. We are beyond grateful for the support of Mashpee Commons and our many sponsors who have donated food, beverages and promotional items for attendees.”

The party kicks off at 4 p.m. with a 45-minute Shakeout Tag Ream R/DE, followed by a “carb-up” dinner (pizza, spaghetti and meatballs) and entertainment by local band Beautiful Tuesday.

Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased at www.bspokestudios.com/buy-credits-cape-house/

Sponsors of the B/SPOKE Falmouth Road Race Prep Party include Body by Brabants, Cupcake Charlie’s, Duke’s Donut Worx, Ghelfi’s Candies, Recess, Reign Drink Lab, Rory’s Market + Kitchen, Siena Restaurant and Viva Tequila Seltzer.
