BayCoast Bank Promotes Payette to SVP, Chief Community Banking

BayCoast Bank (baycoast.bank) has announced the promotion of Matthew Payette to Senior Vice President, Chief Community Banking Officer.

BayCoast BankIn this role, Payette assumes overall management of the bank’s Community Banking Division, which includes branch administration. He is also responsible for the planning, coordination and administration of the Customer Services Delivery System of all BayCoast banking offices.

Payette joined BayCoast Bank in 2020 as Regional Manager of the bank’s Rhode Island branches. With more than 37 years of banking experience, he has held separate roles in various financial institutions in the New England Market, including Small Business Sales Manager, Insurance Division Market Manager, and Premier Client Manager.

A graduate of UMass Dartmouth with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Payette is a resident of Dartmouth. An active volunteer, Payette serves as treasurer of the Allendale Country Club Board of Directors, is a SouthCoast Development Board member for My Brothers Keeper, sits on the Parish Finance Council for Saint Julie Billiart Parish in Dartmouth and is a Foundation to Advance Catholic Education Annual Fall Dinner committee member.

He also serves as co-chair of BayCoast Bank’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee.
