SWANSEA — BayCoast Mortgage (http://baycoastmortgage.com) has been selected to participate in two Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston homebuyers programs.

The Equity Builder Program assists local homebuyers with down-payment and closing costs and in addition offers homebuyer counseling and rehabilitation assistance. The program provides grants to financial institutions to assist households earning up to 80 percent of the area median income. Borrowers are eligible to receive up to $15,000 in assistance on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Housing Our Workforce (HOW) program helps local homebuyers earning more than 80 percent and up to 120 percent of the area median income with down payments on owner-occupied primary residences. Borrowers can receive up to $20,000 in assistance on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We are pleased to participate in both the Equity Builder and Housing Our Workforce programs,” said Daniel Briand, president and CEO of BayCoast Mortgage. “These programs are important tools in ensuring that more individuals and families can finalize a home purchase transaction, particularly during this time when home prices have been rising steadily.”
