Community Systems Inc. Massachusetts, a nonprofit agency providing direct support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Plymouth County and Cape Cod, has named James Campbell, PhD, as executive director.
Campbell had been executive director of Community Systems Inc. Virginia since 2014. He is a military veteran with more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, overseeing community-based services in the mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities sectors.
His passion for nonprofit leadership led him to pursue a doctorate in Global Leadership, specializing in organizational management.
“I’m thrilled to have the chance to support and guide CSI-MA in discovering new possibilities,” Campbell said. “Through people-centered leadership principles, our employees will be empowered to exceed the expectations of the people we support, their families, and our community stakeholders.”

CSI Massachusetts supports more than 200 persons with disabilities by providing case management and independent living supports, small group homes, shared living opportunities and day supports.
