The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber is presenting Cape Cod Canal Day, a community-wide, family friendly event at Buzzards Bay Park on Cape Cod Canal on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will include local food trucks, craft beer and wine, live entertainment, a Cape Cod Canal Day Cup Cornhole Tournament, arts and craft vendors, a “Kids Zone” for children and a 5K Road Race.
Admission is free.
Local food trucks include Culinary Assault featuring Stephen Coe, a nationally recognized and award-winning chef; Seafood Sam’s, Cousins Maine Lobster, Hometown Poke, Shine Mobile Coffee, Noonan Concessions, The Lobster Trap, iGotta Q Barbecue, South Shore Taco Guy, Kono Pizza and Pour Garden for craft beer and wine sponsored by Whalers Brewing Co.
There will be more than 80 vendors. The chamber is selling custom-made t-shirts with the Cape Cod Railroad Bridge and Cape Cod Canal Day beer mugs.
Enjoy Live Performances by Martial Arts Studio, Joe Merrick Classic Rock Trio, Reminisants, and 3rd Left, along with the Miracle Fish Puppets. A Kid Zone will offer activities featuring greyhound dogs and the National Marine Life Center.
Register for the 5K Road Race on the Cape Cod Canal that morning. Registration is $25 and includes a limited supply of t-shirts. Registration for the popular Cornhole Tournament is $25 for a team of two. Go to www.capecodcanalchamber.org to register for either event and find out more information.
