South Yarmouth – The Cape Cod Association (CCA) recently awarded $525,000 in
scholarships to 352 students from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.

The Cape Cod Association, founded in 1851, is one of the oldest and largest independent
scholarship funds in New England. Since 2004, the organization has provided nearly 9 million in
scholarship support.

Qualified students who were born and reside on Cape Cod or the Islands who have shown
academic achievement are eligible to apply for these heritage-based scholarships. Graduating
high school seniors and past recipient college students can receive awards for up to four years
of undergraduate study at colleges and technical schools.

“We’re honored to continue this tradition of providing resources for education,” said CCA
President David W. Foster, Jr. “It’s a meaningful way to invest in the long-term success of the
young people who live here.”

The Cape Cod Association’s partner, The Cape Cod Foundation, recently awarded more than
$1 million in scholarships. Together the organizations exceeded $1.5 million in scholarship
support to students in the region.
