Hyannis MA, April 10, 2017: For the first time Cape Cod Beer is releasing their popular Summer Ale in 16 ounce cans. The brewery will package and label the beer right in its Hyannis facility. The labels feature a photo of hydrangea flowers and the boardwalk at Long Beach in Centerville. The seasonal favorite will be available in hundreds of restaurants and package stores on Cape Cod and beyond.
Cape Cod Beer has been steadily expanding its can offerings to include seasonal brews and limited edition specialties, with Summer Ale as the newest edition to the former. The label features Cape Cod’s signature flower in honor of the 10-day Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, held in July, which raises money for more than a dozen Cape-based non-profits. Cape Cod Beer is the exclusive sponsor of the Hydrangea Festival Cocktail Trail which features hydrangea-inspired cocktail creations at restaurants and venues across Cape Cod.

We wanted to help get the word out and using thousands of our cans distributed all over Cape Cod was a way we could do that. Last year at the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, the 84 participating gardens drew in more than $52,000 for 18 non-profit organizations. The 2016 Festival was featured in coverage from: Yankee magazine across two issues including dedicated social media takeover, Boston Globe’s Summer Weekend Guide, Coastal Home magazine, two editions of the local newspaper’s Cape Week events insert, Cape Codder magazine, Cape Cod Home magazine, Midland Lifestyles magazine in Texas, and At Home on Cape Cod magazine.
