Explore a variety of electric vehicles on Saturday, June 3, at the Recharge Cape Cod Electric Vehicle (EV) Expo and Test Drive Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hyannis Transportation Center, 1 Transportation Avenue, Hyannis.

This free event will allow attendees to view and test drive a variety of EV makes and models including e-bikes and an electric bus, get hands-on charging experience, discover current and near-future plans for charging infrastructure, and learn about local, state, and federal rebates.

“Supporting low and no carbon transportation options is a priority strategy identified in the Cape Cod Climate Action Plan,” says Cape Cod Commission Executive Director Kristy Senatori. “We are pleased to partner on this event to provide residents with information and opportunities to learn about and experience electric vehicles and associated technology.”

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to own an EV, how much it costs to charge, and the kinds of incentives available for new and used EVs, you’ll have a chance to ask EV owners and experts who will be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences.

“We are excited to be hosting the EV car show at the Hyannis Transportation Center,” said Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority Administrator Tom Cahir. “This is a great opportunity for the public to not only experience EVs first-hand but also to learn about our Level 2 EV chargers. With payment for parking, use of our chargers at the transportation center is free to the public, and they are a great way to make owning an EV more realistic for the average consumer. Much planning has gone into the day, and we’re looking forward to a fantastic event.”
