Cape Cod Five Board announces $25,000 gift to WE CAN in honor of Dorothy A. Savarese’s 25th anniversary

The Board of Directors of Cape Cod 5 has announced a $25,000 charitable donation on the occasion of President & CEO Dorothy A. Savarese’s 25th anniversary with the Bank. The donation is being made to WE CAN, an organization that empowers women with unique services that inspire hope and bring increased opportunity, self-sufficiency and stability.
“For the past 25 years, Dorothy has been a leader in the organization, helping Cape Cod 5 evolve to serve effectively as our customers’ trusted financial partner, and work with them on their terms. During her time as CEO, Cape Cod 5 has grown to be the largest bank headquartered on the Cape and Islands, and Dorothy continues to lead the Bank’s expansion of its commitment to the community,” said Thomas Evans, Vice Chairman of the Board of Cape Cod 5. “Dorothy’s dynamic and enthusiastic leadership at the Cape Cod 5, in our community and in the banking industry continues to make a positive difference.”
He added: “As a board, we wanted to recognize this occasion in a special way and worked with Dorothy to ensure that our charitable gift on her behalf was something that was of special importance to her and tied in to her work of helping to advance the careers of women in business.”
