Cape Cod Healthcare has announced the opening of The Trachsel Neuroscience Institute, a fully renovated facility providing high-quality neurological care. The site will offer neurology and dementia and Alzheimer’s caregiver services to meet the growing needs for these services in the community.
Two Cape Cod Healthcare offices will relocate to The Trachsel Neuroscience Institute: Neurologists of Cape Cod, 46 North St., and Dementia & Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support, 4 Bayview St. in West Yarmouth, will now be located at 1019 Iyannough Road.
Located near the Cape Cod Mall at 1019 Iyannough Road in Hyannis, the newly remodeled building was funded with support from a generous gift provided by Nancy and Bill Trachsel.
The modernized building provides eight medical doctor offices, two mid-level provider offices, three procedure rooms and 19 exam rooms, along with administrative and support space. The Dementia & Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support office consists of four offices and support space. In addition, the facility features new signage and minor cosmetic exterior improvement.
The space was architecturally designed specifically with patients undergoing neurological care in mind— from sensory, mobility and optical issues to Alzheimer’s and dementia. The accessibility to entrances, patient care areas and restrooms were all carefully planned.
