Local nonprofit to celebrate successes, announce house design winners
Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP), the premier organization for young and emerging professionals on Cape Cod, will welcome members, supporters, and community partners at its 12th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 1, 7:30-9 a.m. at the Cape Codder Resort & Spa (1225 Iyannough Rd., Hyannis). Admission for CCYP members is $25 per person, and non-member admission is $45. Attendees are asked to register in advance through the CCYP website at http://capecodyoungprofessionals.org. The Annual Meeting is presented with generous sponsorship support from Cape Cod Healthcare.
The CCYP Annual Meeting is part membership meeting and part community impact report. During the event, Directors of the Board will review major accomplishments and initiatives of the past year, and call a vote of CCYP members on several key issues, including the election of new and renewing board members, and approval of updated Bylaws. All are welcome to attend; however, only CCYP members in good standing will be permitted to vote.
CCYP will also announce winners of the organization’s recent House Design Contest, which solicited entries of innovative and cost-conscious house designs from local architect and design firms. Captioned “Not Your Traditional Cape,” the contest sought to serve as a catalyst for modestly priced, open source designs that could house young professionals and families. Contest winners in three categories will be recognized during the Annual Meeting, and each will be presented with a $5,000 prize. The House Design Contest was sponsored by Cape Associates, Inc., Shepley, and the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors & MLS.
