The Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center has been named as one of five beneficiary organizations that will receive funding from the upcoming Seaside Le Mans – The Race for the Cape Cod Community.

The event, which will take place Sept. 10, 2022, at Mashpee Commons, has raised more than $8 million since its inception 21 years ago, providing grants to dozens of organizations that impact the daily lives of Cape Cod residents.

For 39 years the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center has provided comprehensive, life sustaining services for veterans and their families in Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties. These goals are accomplished through a comprehensive menu of programs and services that empower veterans to achieve a lasting reintegration into the families and communities for which they have sacrificed.

The Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center is located at 247 Stevens St., Suite E, Hyannis.

The Davenport Companies in South Yarmouth created and underwrites the Seaside Le Mans, which features teams of sponsors driving Formula One karts during an endurance race on an outdoor track to determine the winner. The event is free to spectators and features food, music and entertainment.
