The Cape Symphony is hosting a family-friendly event on Halloween called “Symphony Spooktacular,”  a no-contact, socially-distant trick-or-treating experience, featuring a Halloween photo booth, a costume contest (with prizes for Scariest, Funniest, and Most Creative), giveaways and live music.

“Symphony Spooktacular” will take place on Oct. 31 outdoors at the Cape Symphony’s Barnstable and Falmouth campuses simultaneously, and 30-minute time slots will be ticketed to ensure safety. The hours are 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the event will be held rain or shine. The Barnstable Campus is located at 2235 Iyannough Road, Barnstable and the Falmouth Campus is at 60 Highfield Drive, Falmouth.

“We wanted to create a safe and fun way for families to enjoy the Halloween holiday this year,” said Jackie deRuyter, Cape Symphony Director of Engagement. “Our whole team, including some of our Cape Symphony musicians from the orchestra, is excited to be a part of this day.”

The Cape Symphony staff has worked closely with the board of health and followed all CDC guidelines to design safety protocols for this event, including a maximum capacity at 50 percent of the current legal limit, a one-way traffic pattern with social distancing strictly enforced, mandatory masks for all staff and attendees. Hand sanitizer will be available and all candy distributed will be in its original packaging.

Tickets are $10 per person with a $50 maximum per family. Visit capesymphony.org to purchase tickets.
