The Cape Media Center board of directors has announced that Helen Chatel will be its new Executive Director.
Previously, Chatel was Executive Director of Watertown Cable Access Corp. for the last nine years. Prior to WCATV, Chatel was in a similar role in Connecticut at Community Voice Channel for 11 years.
Chatel looks forward to working with the many nonprofits and meeting community leaders and members in the Cape Media Center area. She is no stranger to collaborating with other organizations from PTA/PTOs to Historical Societies or even homeschooling collectives. She has vast experience in covering community, municipal, and even educational events.
“I am thrilled to be joining CMC and becoming involved in the community,” she said. “I am passionate about community media and one of the greatest things about what we do is allowing people to tell their stories. Each person, each non-profit, and every community has a story and I want to help facilitate their ability to share it with others.“
Chatel can be reached at 508-394-2388, ext. 102.
