Cape Cod Young Professionals, Inc. (CCYP) will be hosting the 2023 Shape the Cape Summit at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth on Tuesday, March 28, sponsored by The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.
Each spring, CCYP convenes hundreds of business and nonprofit leaders, elected officials, local employers, and the Cape’s young workforce from all sectors at the Shape the Cape Summit for forward-thinking and solutions-oriented sessions on the issues that matter most to our region, today and into the future.
Summit sessions are designed to foster creative idea exchange, surface potential solutions to key challenges facing our region, and identify opportunities for innovation, action, and collaboration. Together, we can develop strategies to ensure that our region’s workforce and working families can live, work, and thrive in the region.
Genein Letford, M.Ed., is the Keynote Speaker. Letford is an award-winning educator, best-selling author and international speaker. Her presentation is titled “Leading and Innovating with Intercultural Creativity.” Letford is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of CAFFE Strategies, LLC, a consulting, coaching, and training company that trains C-Suite executives, employees, and educators. She is often called “America’s Creative Coach” for her work in reigniting intercultural creativity within the workforce.
This year’s CCYP Shape the Cape Summit Committee, Co-Chaired by Marissa Cyr, CCYP Vice President, and Casey Chatelain, CCYP Board Member, has brought together a group of facilitators and presenters and designed sessions in a way that will engage all participants in designing and reenvisioning Cape Cod’s future.
The 2023 Summit will begin with a session on “Leadership in the Legislature” where Cape & Islands millennial legislators Sen. Julian Cyr, Rep. Dylan Fernandes and Rep. Chris Flanagan will explore their experiences as young professionals in significant leadership roles and discuss key challenges and opportunities facing the region.
