The Community Development Partnership (CDP) is hosting its eighth annual Summer Evening on the Farm on Aug. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Halcyon Farm in Brewster.
The event is a fun-filled evening celebrating the work of the CDP as they continue to build a diverse year-round community of people who can afford to live, work and thrive on the Lower and Outer Cape.
“This event is a great way to celebrate our community and its residents while raising important funds that allow the CDP to continue to support small businesses and create affordable housing. We will also present our Annual Community Awards, which were announced at our Annual Meeting on May 19 to Fran and Alan McClennen of Orleans and Chequessett Chocolate in Truro,” said Jay Coburn, Chief Executive Officer of the CDP.
The Bert Jackson Quartet will provide the musical backdrop as guests enjoy tasty local bites, fresh shucked oysters and drinks provided by Truro Vineyards and Devil’s Purse Brewing. Former state Sen. and Cape Air founder Dan Wolf will emcee the live Fund-a-Need auction. Guests will have an opportunity to meet the CDP staff and network with others who are committed to building a strong year-round Lower Cape community.
