Chris Boyd Attains Certified Elder Planning Specialist Credential

J. Christopher “Chris” Boyd, founder and Chief Investment Officer of Asset Management Resources, based in Hyannis, was recently awarded the Certified Elder Planning Specialist (CEPS) credential.

The CEPS program is instructed by leaders in the field of elder care planning. It covers topics such
as understanding the aging process, the caregiver’s role, legal issues of aging, long-term care and
insurance, Social Security and Medicare planning, end-of-life plans, and structuring family meetings.

Chris BoydTo earn the Certified Elder Planning Specialist credential, one must attend 10 weeks of training,
focused on different areas of longevity planning. Candidates are required to pass exams for each
of the instructional modules, as well as a final exam.

In addition to the CEPS credential, Boyd was awarded the Certified Financial PlannerTM credential
in 2004, and has earned the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living professional designation from the
American College, BrynMawr, Penn. He has been the owner of AMR since its inception as a Registered Investment Advisor firm in 2008.

In 2020, Boyd was elected to the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) One FPA Advisory
Council Executive Committee. He is a past president of the local FPA Chapter, the Financial
Planning Association of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cape
Cod and serves on the Cape & Islands Workforce Development Board.

Boyd hosts a weekly financial radio talk show “Something More With Chris Boyd” and is a
frequent public speaker.
