The Community Development Partnership (CDP) is hosting its  seventh annual Summer Evening on the Farm Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Halcyon Farm in Brewster.

Proceeds from Summer Evening on the Farm support the CDP’s work to create opportunities for people to live, work and thrive on the Lower Cape through affordable housing initiatives and supporting economic development.

“On the 25th we will celebrate our work to support the small businesses and families impacted by the pandemic, and rededicate ourselves to nurturing a vibrant Lower Cape community,” said Jay Coburn, CDP Chief Executive Officer.  “This event is a great way to enjoy the beauty and resilience of our community and its people while raising important funds that allow the CDP to support more small businesses and create more affordable homes.”

The Bert Jackson Quartet will provide the musical backdrop as guests enjoy tasty local bites, such as fresh shucked oysters, and drinks provided by Truro Vineyards, Devil’s Purse Brewing and Shoal Hope Cider Works. Former state senator and Cape Air founder Dan Wolf will emcee the live fund-a-need auction.  Guests will have an opportunity to meet the CDP staff and network with others committed to a strong year-round Lower Cape community.

Early Bird tickets are $75 until Aug. 1, when general admission tickets will be $100. Tickets are $30 for children 15 and under.

Local businesses who are sponsoring this event include: Farm Sponsor: Cape Associates; Harvest Sponsors: Eastham Ace Hardware and Truro Vineyards; Garden Sponsors: Kathleen Nagle, Realtor, Kinlin Grover, Nauset Disposal, Tidal Marketing, and J.
