Community Health Center Of Cape Hires Hulburt, Kothalanka

Community Health Center of Cape Cod  has added two medical professionals to its team.

Family Nurse Practitioner Jocelyn Hulburt joins the Primary Care department. For the past two years, Hulburt worked at a practice in Waltham with a medically challenging and culturally diverse patient population. Prior to getting her Advanced Practice degree, she had 11 years of experience as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in two different Intensive Care Units and the emergency room. Hulburt received her FNP and MS from Boston College and completed her clinical training at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also holds a certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse. Hulburt will be seeing patients at the Health Center’s Falmouth office.

JHulburt PhotoDr. Samuel Kothalanka has been hired as a staff psychiatrist. Kothalanka is a board-certified psychiatrist who has experience working with refractory affective, mood disorder and psychotic patients, as well as substance abuse. Prior to CHC, he worked as a staff psychiatrist at South Bay Community Services in Mashpee.  Kothalanka did his psychiatric clinical residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, where he later served as chief resident in the Department of Psychiatry. He also earned high honors for excellence in teaching at Tufts University, where he was an Associate Clinical Instructor.  Kothalanka is a Member of the American Psychiatric Association and holds an Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Board. Kothalanka will see patients in the Health Center’s Mashpee and Falmouth offices.
