E.J. Jaxtimer Builder’s second annual Little Big Fishing Tournament raised over $162,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands on June 23.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands partners with under-resourced families to provide their children with transformational, one-to-one professionally-supported relationships with caring adult mentors, so that their children will thrive. BBBS wants youth to achieve their full potential, which contributes to healthier families, better schools, brighter futures and stronger communities. Through innovative programs, BBBS ensures that children have more opportunities to be provided with a mentor.

The Little Big Fishing Tournament brought together 40 fishing boats, over 190 anglers, and many spectators. The day started off with perfect weather and ended with dinner provided by Baxter’s Fish ‘N Chips, an awards ceremony that included raffle prizes, and live auction, followed by awards and medals given to the adult and junior anglers who caught the heaviest striped bass and bluefish.

“Because of our dedicated team of employees, volunteers, captains, participants, donors, and sponsors, we were able to raise double what we raised last year. We are so very grateful for all of the support and generosity,” said E.J. Jaxtimer.
