EF Senior Care Announces the Purchase of Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

EF Senior Care (EFSeniorCare.com) of Plymouth has completed its purchase of Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (“Sunny Acres”) in Chelmsford.

Sunny Acres (SunnyAcres.org) is a 95-bed skilled nursing and assisted living memory care facility providing long-term skilled care, short-term rehabilitation services, and specialized accommodations for individuals with memory-related challenges, including Alzheimer’s.

Sunny Acres has been locally owned since 1948.

Headquartered in Plymouth, EF Senior Care has provided consulting and management services to Sunny Acres since 2020, and Sunny Acres represents the second senior care facility owned and operated by EF Senior Care.  In 2021, EF Senior Care purchased The Terraces on Cape Cod (TheTerracesOrleans.com).

The local team at Sunny Acres will continue to be led by its Administrator, Frank McGuire, LNHA, with support from EF Senior Care’s executive team including Matt Muratore, LNHA, Joe Veno, LNHA, and Karen Bain, RN.

EF Senior Care closed this transaction with a Greystone Monticello bridge loan and working capital financing originated by Scott Levine of Greystone, and with assistance from Nixon Peabody LLP, and Slater & Associates Insurance Inc.
