Elevate Counseling Services, with locations in South Easton, Bellingham and Lakeville, recently announced new offerings of mindfulness groups to its menu of services.

Group sessions provide individuals an opportunity to explore an area with others who are facing similar issues and who hold a similar desire to work on these issues.

Currently, Elevate Counseling Services is offering a variety of mindfulness groups focused around the following topics:  Retreating into Greater Self-Love, Creating Grief Space, Mindful Recovery, and Stress Less with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills and Support for Socially Anxious Teens.  Groups include a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) drills, DBT skills, mindful meditation, and expressive therapies including art, journaling, music and movement.

Groups are presently being offered via Zoom, but the practice hopes to offer children’s groups outside beginning this summer, as well as online and in-person options for everyone in the fall.

“Group therapy is a great option for some people and provides a richness of shared experiences that can be incredibly therapeutic,” said Leigh-Ann Larson, CEO of Elevate Counseling. “We look forward to expanding our group therapy topics later this year to provide even more opportunities for people striving toward mental wellness.”
