Falmouth Complete Streets Meeting Scheduled For Jan. 19

The Cape Cod Commission and the Town of Falmouth will be holding a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. to discuss the development of a Complete Streets Prioritization Plan for the Town of Falmouth.

A “complete street” provides accommodations for all users, including motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and persons with disabilities. The presentation will include an overview of the Complete Streets Program and a draft priority listing of potential Complete Streets projects.

Potential projects include new sidewalk construction, intersection improvements, and enhanced bicycling infrastructure. The focus of the meeting will be to gather public feedback on the priority ranking.

Guided by input from public meetings and in conjunction with the Town of Falmouth, Cape Cod Commission staff will prepare a final report and refine the Complete Streets Prioritization Plan. The prioritization plan will then be submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation as part of the town’s ongoing participation in their Complete Streets Program. Approved projects are eligible for up to $400,000 in construction funding from MassDOT.
