The Falmouth Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation recently announced its 2022 grants, awarding $100,000 to 25 nonprofit organizations whose vital programs serve thousands of children, adults and seniors.
With the 2022 grants, The Falmouth Fund has also reached a significant milestone: the investment of more than $1 million back into the community over the past 13 years.
“While we are gratified by these accomplishments, we are most proud of the profound impact that our nonprofit colleagues have had — and continue to have — in the lives of our families, friends, and neighbors,” said Sharon Nunes, Advisory Committee Chair.
Nunes added that it is the ongoing generosity of donors who make it possible for The Falmouth Fund to both support immediate needs and respond to future opportunities. She said The Falmouth Fund supports organizations working in the areas of health and human services; education, youth, and recreation; arts and culture; and the environment.
“We also recognize the enormous impact the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have across our community, and we remain committed to collaborating with our nonprofit colleagues in the recovery and rebuilding process,” said Nunes.
Kristin O’Malley, President and CEO of The Cape Cod Foundation, said The Falmouth Fund demonstrates both the power and the spirit of a Town Fund.
“Their long-term investment strategy allows them to build resources while also deploying them to important projects. And, they are demonstrating the inspiration and strength of a community, like Falmouth, working together.”
