Family Pantry turkey distribution a success thanks to donors and volunteers

Thanksgiving is a time for us to give thanks, join family and friends to share in the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings. Well some of our neighbors here on Cape Cod are not able to afford the holiday dinner. The Family Pantry of Cape Cod held a turkey and all the fixings distribution on Sunday to those in need, the Family Pantry’s satellite location at Cape Cod Community College held one today. There were 450 dinner fixings were distributed.
The Pantry gets many of the turkeys from the Greater Boston Food Bank, the Chatham Wayside Inn donated 100 turkeys, a tradition they have done for many years and the Cape Community Business Partners also donated 100 turkeys. The remainder came from donations of many caring individuals and businesses throughout the Cape. The Pantry would like to give thanks for the support the community shares at this time and throughout the entire year.
