Finn’s Craft Beer Taphouse, known for its fine selection of beers, can now add bragging rights for best lobster roll in Barnstable.
Finn’s, located on Barnstable Road, topped the competition in the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce’s first-ever Barnstable Bucket List contest in July, as voted by diners who sampled lobster rolls at various restaurants.
This new event was developed by the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce to entice visitors and locals to taste and vote for the top three foods that people love and crave in the summer… lobster rolls, ice cream and clam chowder.
Restaurants, eateries, clam shacks, ice cream parlors, and more will compete to earn the title, “Best of Barnstable” and a Golden Bucket Award in September.
Finn’s describes their winning entry as “tender lobster with seasoned mayo mixed with chopped English cucumber.”
“We are so proud of all the restaurants who competed in July’s Barnstable Bucket List. This event provides a fun and unique way to highlight our local restaurants and gave the public a chance to vote for their favorite lobster roll,” said Marty Bruemmel, President and CEO of the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce. “It’s also a great way to promote local restaurants in the town of Barnstable.”
The competition for Best Clam Chowder gets under way on Sept. 1. All restaurants serving clam chowder in the Town of Barnstable are invited to participate and can sign up by contacting Marty Bruemmel at the GHCC at 508-775-7778 or email marty@hyannis.com.
