Free HVAC Training Program Offered At Cape Cod Tech

The Community School, the adult education program offered at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich, is offering an HVAC training program funded by the Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grant.

The eight-week program will offer classes Wednesday through Friday from Feb. 3 to April 8 in the school’s new, fully equipped, HVAC shop. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 9 p.m., Wednesdays from 3 to 8 p.m., and Fridays during working hours to accommodate job shadowing.

Students will gain the necessary skills to start a new career in the HVAC industry. The program includes 80 hours of training and three full days of on-the-job training with respected HVAC companies on Cape Cod, with additional programming to ensure participants have the professional readiness required to secure a job at the end of the session. These additional components of the program include an OSHA Certification, resume building, career skills training and guaranteed interviews with HVAC companies. There is a transportation stipend available for participants.
