United Way Of Greater Plymouth Names Murphy To Management Team

United Way of Greater Plymouth County announces that Laura Murphy of Bridgewater will be joining its management team by taking on a new role as Director of Resource Development starting Feb. 11.

IMG 0109“We are delighted to have Laura serving in this critical role of fundraiser and friend-raiser for  our United Way,” said UWGPC president and CEO Dennis Carman. “She brings with her an impressive wealth of knowledge and experience as well as a firm grasp on the needs and the resources in our community.  We are extremely fortunate to have her on our United Way team helping us to improve the lives of our neighbors in greater Plymouth County.”

Murphy has 12 years of fund-raising experience including leadership roles at the Hockomock Area YMCA, The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, the UMass Boston Fund and the Old Colony YMCA.  She most recently served as United Way of Greater Plymouth County’s Donor Engagement Specialist since  2019 conducting workplace campaigns and generating philanthropic giving, in addition to working on annual events.

“I am passionate about serving our neighbors and strive to make a difference through relationship building and fundraising,” Laura Murphy, UWGPC Director of Resource Development said.  “I am eager to expand my role at United Way during this pivotal time as we move toward community recovery and rebuilding from COVID-19.”
