The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield and Briteway Carwash invite families to a “Haunted Car Wash” on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 27 and 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Briteway Carwash, 535 Plain St., (Route 139), Marshfield.
Each year, hundreds of cars filled with South Shore families cruise through Briteway’s Haunted Car Wash in the days preceding Halloween in support of the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield. This year’s theme for the fundraiser is “Graveyard,” complete with ghosts, zombies and other frightening creatures. Volunteers from the Boys & Girls Club, as well as several staff and board members will be in costume to provide patrons of all ages with a haunted experience.
A Haunted Car Wash is $25 per car. Proceeds from the event benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield in support of their scholarship program which helps families in need.
Last year, $8,500 in proceeds from the event was then matched by Briteway Carwash, for a total donation of $17,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Briteway and the Vercollone family for their very generous and ongoing support,” said Jim Bunnell, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield. “The Haunted Car Wash is well-received and last year, nearly 300 cars came through. With a different theme each year, the scene is always a surprise to families as they drive in. It’s a frightfully good event.”
This event is sponsored by Tiny & Sons Glass.
