The South Shore Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Marshfield resident Jill O’Brien has joined the staff as Engagement Lead.

In her new role, O’Brien will work with members, partners, and funders to align the chamber’s benefits and value to support their strategic goals. She will serve as a daily point-of-contact for chamber membership as well as prospective members interested in joining. In addition, she will coordinate, promote, and lead chamber networking events and develop new initiatives that respond to market insight. She will also serve as staff liaison to chamber volunteer groups including Ambassador Group and Human Resources Group.

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, O’Brien earned a bachelor of arts degree in Art History from Skidmore College and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Fordham University. She has years of experience in major gifts fundraising at higher education institutions and also several years in teaching.

“We welcome Jill to our Chamber team,” said Peter Forman, president and CEO of South Shore Chamber of Commerce. “Jill brings excellent communication and people skills to her new role and we look forward to working with her in serving our partners and members. She fits in perfectly with our team already.”
