Save the date LEGO lovers.

The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod seventh annual Children’s LEGO home-building competition will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Johnny Kelley Park in South Dennis.

“Our registration is already filling up. With only 50 spots available for kids to compete, we strongly encourage parents to preregister their children while spots are still available,”  said Chris Flanagan, executive officer of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod.  “We are introducing the kids to the building process, where building inspectors will issue building permits, and certificates of occupancy. Not only is this a fun learning experience, but they will have the opportunity to build a LEGO home and have the opportunity to win prizes.”

Contestant sign-in will begin at 10 a.m.; construction begins at 11 a.m.  The building event will once again include two age groups: 5 to 8 year olds and 9 to 12 year olds. Preregistration is required. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, second and third place winners in each age category. Lunch for the builders will be provided by Holly’s Deli.

New this year will be a Corn Hole tournament for parents, guardians and siblings.
