Reminder: License Plate Funds Informational Webinar Scheduled For June 15

An informational webinar about the Cape Cod License Plate Grant Fund will take place Tuesday, June 15, at 3 p.m.

The Cape Cod Commission, on behalf of the Barnstable County Commissioners and the Barnstable County Economic Development Council is seeking proposals for the projects. Projects should support recovery efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic and resiliency to such impacts in the future. Grants are eligible to local or regional governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations. The webinar will provide additional information, review the request for proposals, and outline the components for the applications. This webinar is free of charge. Registration is not required. Details on how to access the webinar can be found at www.capecodcommission.org/our-work/license-plate-grant.

Approximately $150,000 is allocated for grants up to $25,000 in Fiscal Year 2022. Projects proposed should address a documented impact of the pandemic and align with and support implementation of the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).  Proposals must demonstrate consistency with one or more of the CEDS Action Plan initiatives including local business development, blue economy sector development, comprehensive and activity center planning, housing access and affordability, climate change innovation, regional infrastructure planning, transportation and air quality improvement, infrastructure development and infrastructure funding. Proposals are due by July 9, 2021.

All proposals will be evaluated by the BCEDC, who will make recommendations for funding to the Barnstable County Commissioners. Awards are anticipated to be made in August 2021.
