Mass-ALA Honors Mashpee Chef With 2023 Dining Services Award

The Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA) honored Scott Butler, Head Chef and Dining Service Director at Bridges® by EPOCH at Mashpee, with its 2023 Dining Services Award during their annual Excellence Awards Dinner on Aug. 1.

President and CEO of Mass-ALA Brian Doherty said Butler’s ability to provide residents and team members with healthy, aesthetically pleasing, and high-quality meals led to him being honored with this award.

Butler has made it his mission to deliver a culinary experience that delights the senses of everyone he serves. He pays attention to plating details and prepares nutritious foods with seasoning and textures that please the palate. He concocts fresh baked goods every morning for the residents and does everything possible to enhance the lifestyle of the residents through the food and experiences he delivers. The dining services team also appreciates his fairness and willingness to help wherever he’s needed, and how he inspires everyone on the team.

“Dining is so important to all of us, especially seniors who often use this time to socialize with others and enjoy the flavors of a meal,” Butler noted. “It is my honor to serve them at their Bridges® by EPOCH at Mashpee home and enhance their lifestyle through their food and experiences that deliver wonderful memories.”
