Cape Cod Academy (CCA), the only independent, co-educational, college preparatory school serving students from kindergarten to grade 12 on Cape Cod, has appointed Andrea McKnight as Head Varsity Coach for the academy’s Girls’ Lacrosse Program.
McKnight has been heavily involved in lacrosse in Southeastern Massachusetts since 2014. She has worked with Falmouth, Sandwich, Dennis-Yarmouth, Middleboro, Pembroke, and Kingston youth lacrosse programs. She is also the Director of Aces Lacrosse, a girls’ lacrosse club for students in grades 3-12 in southeastern Massachusetts, where she works with both the youth and high school divisions.
McKnight learned to play lacrosse at Falmouth Academy, she played four years at Kimball Union Academy and she played all four years while a student at Wesleyan University. Her son is a current student at Cape Cod Academy.
“I am extremely excited to have a coach with the experience of Andrea on our coaching staff”,” said Jeff Conlon, Athletic Director at Cape Cod Academy. “I look forward to working with Coach McKnight as she builds on the momentum of our competitive program and helps develop players to reach their full potential.”
