Mid-Cape Home Centers, a division of US LBM, has added two newly-wrapped Trucks-for-a-Cause to their growing ‘”Fleet of Hope.”
Joining the ranks are a truck wrapped for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands and another for Mental Health Awareness.
Mid-Cape partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters, a local chapter of a nationwide organization dedicated to fostering one-on-one mentoring relationships, through both annual and event sponsorships. Some of Mid-Cape’s team members are also directly involved in the program as “big brothers and big sisters” to local youth.
Mid-Cape also wants to help offer hope for those who suffer from depression, anxiety and the toll trauma takes on the mind.
“Our team takes this reality very seriously,” explains Crystal Pieschel, Director of Marketing at Mid-Cape. “After a team vote to collectively select the next big cause for the company to get behind and fund-raise for in 2022, we have chosen to link arms with B Free Wellness Inc., a local organization transforming people’s lives by providing low-to-no cost services for those whose lives have been affected by trauma, addiction and oppression.”
Mid-Cape is partnering this year with The Cape Cod Foundation and B Free Wellness for the 2022 First Responder Appreciation Day Saturday, June 18, at Mid-Cape’s South Dennis location. All proceeds will be donated to The Sean M. Gannon Memorial Fund and B Free Wellness, supporting the education of first responders, and aiding them in their fight for recovery and mental health. The event will feature touch-a-trucks, games, door prizes, food and fun.
Mid-Cape locations are also selling this year’s featured T-shirts, featuring the truck flag or Framework beer label, with proceeds going directly to first responders.
