Nauset Disposal is hosting its annual community fundraiser, Trash Bash, on Friday, Oct. 21, at the company’s Orleans location, 3 Rayber Road, Orleans, from 5:30 to 11 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit seven local nonprofit organizations: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands, Cape Cod Climate Change Collaborative, Cape and Islands United Way, Heroes in Transition, Homeless Prevention Council, Lower Cape Outreach Council and Wild Care.
Trash Bash features live music with the Grab Brothers and DJ Trev, with dinner donated by several local restaurants, beer and wine, door prizes and more. In 2021, Nauset Disposal distributed $48,500 to from Trash Bash proceeds. The company hopes to exceed that amount this year and is seeking sponsorships and volunteers for those who might be interested.
“We are fortunate to work together with our loyal customers and vendors who help support the philanthropic outreach that is such a big part of Nauset Disposal,” said Tim DeLude, District Manager of Nauset Disposal. “What started many years ago as an end-of-summer employee party, has become a great community event that still recognizes the incredible team effort that goes in to providing the best customer service in our industry. The fact that we can celebrate this together with our team, customers, and friends every year while supporting so many great local organizations continues to make this event a success on all fronts.”
