PRfirst owner and founder Jim Farrell today announced the promotion of Nicole Joy Hales of Plymouth to the position of president. In this capacity, she will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 22-year-old public relations agency with offices in Hanover and Plymouth.
Hales previously served as vice president, client services. She joined PRfirst in 2011 as an account executive before being promoted several times. Hales brings more than 25 years of writing and editing experience to her role, including direct journalism experience as a writer for the Griffin Report and Plymouth Patch, and earned a B.A. in media studies from Ithaca College. She currently serves on the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth and as an ambassador for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce.
Farrell, who founded the company in March 1998, will retain the title of founder and will continue his role in business development, account management and overall growth strategy for the firm.
“Nicole has been an integral part of this team for nearly ten years and has shouldered increasing responsibilities as the company has grown,” he said. “We are fortunate to have a number of clients who trust us to help with their PR and communications strategy, and Nicole is the ideal choice to help us with the additional guidance and direction that our firm can use, both now and in the future.”
