ABINGTON, EASTHAMPTON, MA, ISSUED MARCH 20, 2024… Partnering for Performance, a consulting firm specializing in leadership development and executive coaching, is presently delivering a leadership development course in partnership with Massachusetts Councils on Aging (MCOA).

Jacquie Collins, principal of Partnering for Performance, facilitates and presents Leadership in Action, an online training course for new Council on Aging directors throughout Massachusetts. The six-session training series focuses on three areas of Leadership Development: Leading Yourself, Leading Others, and Leading the Organization.

The highly interactive course includes multiple exercises and small group discussions, all designed to assist new COA directors in their crucial role of serving older adults and enhancing organizational programs. Topics include emotional intelligence; mindset; executive function regarding planning, execution and problem solving; critical thinking skills; communication and decision making; and collaboration and team building.

“In addition to addressing basic leadership skills, I focus on the specific skills essential to the role of a COA director,” said Collins. “Both structured and informal, these sessions help to empower participants in the important work that they do.”
