Pembroke Native Named 2023 Top Global Impact Author

Stacy Padula, a native of Pembroke and a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School, was recently selected by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) as Top Global Impact Author of the Year for 2023.

“Choosing the Top Global Impact Author comes with great purpose, admiration, and respect. This member inspires others, shows gratitude, brings people together, and helps people feel connected. With her service, she has displayed innovative leadership practices, pushed others towards success, and made sure people’s voices leave an impact. Ms. Padula has superior performance in her field. She is passionate about her work and holds high morals and integrity in all she does,” said the organization.

Padula is the founder and president of Briley & Baxter Publications LLC, a Plymouth-based publishing company in support of animal rescues. In 2021, Briley & Baxter Publications began helping new authors break into the industry while donating 10 percent of all publishing royalties to animal rescues. Padula has published more than 30 authors and released over 50 books thus far. The mission of the company is to not only help new talent get discovered, but also publish books that inspire readers to use their gifts and talents to positively impact the world. Briley & Baxter Publications has accumulated sales in North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe, reaching thousands of readers across the globe with inspiring and positive messages.

Emmy Award-winning writer and producer Mark Blutman is producing Stacy Padula’s “Gripped” book series for television.

Prior to founding Briley & Baxter Publications, Padula was already a successful published author of young adult books. Her first series, Montgomery Lake High, was published between 2010-2014, and each of the five books help teenagers navigate social battles commonly faced in high school. Padula’s award-winning “Gripped” series (published 2019-present) focuses on prescription drug abuse and mental health in teenagers, following the suspenseful story of NFL hopeful Taylor Dunkin and his community. “Gripped” is currently being adapted for television by (best known for “Boy Meets World,” “Girl Meets World” and “Ghostwriter”). Padula is the author of 13 books with a few more in the works.

In 2020, Padula co-created a children’s book series with NBA Coach Brett Gunning titled “On the Right Path,” which shares life lessons with readers through the game of basketball.

In addition to her literary endeavors, Padula also runs a highly successful college counseling company on the South Shore, guiding high school students and their families through the complicated college application process. Prior to founding South Shore College Consulting & Tutoring in 2016, Padula was the director of operations at another private education company for eight years, where she managed a staff of 30 tutors and developed all company curriculum.
