It’s another market differentiator for Precision Design Engineering in Wareham, with the introduction of its new, state-of-the-art mill-turn machine with precision manufacturing capabilities down to a ten-thousandth of an inch.

Precision EngrinneringPrecision Design Engineering Corporation (, a technology-enabled CNC (computer numerical control) contract manufacturing facility in Wareham which provides manufacturing services for industries including the defense, marine, aerospace and medical industries, today unveiled the latest addition to its fleet of manufacturing machines: the DN Solutions 2600M, an advanced, mill-turn device. The machine expands PDE’s commitment to automation and opens new market opportunities for uber-precise parts manufacturing.   The 2600M allows PDE to tackle larger manufacturing challenges, tighter tolerance requirements and adds to its existing lights out production capability.

Precision Design Engineering CEO Ron Gerace said that the DN Solutions 2600M is one of the most advanced on the market, with tolerances down to a ten-thousandth of an inch and automation including raw material feed, parts collection and, coupled with a the company’s  Universal UR10e cobot, is robot-enabled. The addition of this latest machine will enable PDE to handle larger parts in its design and manufacturing.

“This provides PDE with the capability to handle some of the highest precision parts and products, along with increased lights out production capability,” said Gerace.

“Machine automation and robotics are the future in our industry and we’re pleased to be at the forefront,” said Gerace. “It can be a real game changer for manufacturing facilities, allowing for beefed up production – particularly during times such as these when recruiting and retaining personnel can be challenging.”
