Road to Responsibility (RTR; http://roadtoresponsibility.org), one of the region’s largest nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is the recent recipient of the “Most Improved Partner Agency Campaign” Award from the United Way of Greater Plymouth County.

Road To ResponsibilityRTR President and CEO Christopher T. White Ed.D. and Erin Cohen, Director of Development accepted the award during the 101st Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration of the United Way of Greater Plymouth held June 15 at Bridgewater State University.

As part of its partnership with the United Way, RTR hosts an annual employee fundraising campaign to benefit the organization. RTR’s 2022 campaign raised double the amount over the previous year, leading to its recent award.

“Each year we require our nonprofit partner agencies to run a United Way campaign and we know this can be a challenge given how busy they are providing life-saving services to our neighbors each day,” said United Way of Greater Plymouth County President and CEO Dennis Carman. “Nonetheless, this year Dr. Chris White and Erin Cohen from Road to Responsibility doubled their employee giving campaign to our LIVE UNITED Fund which supports over 50,000 low-income individuals and families in need each year! We were thrilled to present them with an award for Most Improved Partner Agency Campaign at our 101st Annual Meeting.  Thank you to the dedicated and compassionate people who are Road to Responsibility.”

“Our fundraising campaign is a true win-win for both RTR and the United Way of Greater Plymouth County,” said Dr. White, noting that RTR receives annual grant funds from the United Way resulting from fundraising campaigns. “We’re extremely proud of our staff for stepping up so high in support of the United Way – we share this award with every one of our outstanding team members.”
