Road to Responsibility’s Erin Cohen Named 2024 Chair of South Shore Chamber of Commerce NPO

MARSHFIELD, MA, Road to Responsibility (RTR; http://roadtoresponsibility.org), one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is pleased to announce that Director of Development Erin Cohen of Hull, Massachusetts, has been elected the 2024 Chair of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Organization (NPO) Group, following a two-year term as Vice-Chair.

In this leadership role, Cohen will lead the NPO Group, presently comprised of 81 non-profit member organizations. The affinity group was formed in 2015 for non-profit professionals to share common challenges and best practices. Members collaborate, advocate for shared interests, promote the visibility of non-profits as critical contributors to the South Shore community and further the mission of the Chamber and its regional economic development plan.

“It’s an honor to serve as Chair of the South Shore Chamber NPO Group,” said Cohen, who joined RTR in 2019. “I look forward to the year ahead as we continue to pursue educational opportunities, share best practices, and network with other members and committees.”

About Road to Responsibility, Inc.
Celebrating more than 35 years of making lives better, Road to Responsibility, Inc. (RTR) was established in 1988 with the overarching belief that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve to have full, rich, and rewarding lives in the community, and therefore works to provide the means, the opportunity, and the support necessary to allow citizens with disabilities to take their place as productive members of the community. RTR offers residential, work/employment, day habilitation and other day supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. RTR supports individuals with very diverse needs, including those with significant challenges who would otherwise go unserved if not for RTR. It succeeds where other organizations often fail, through the use of an integrated clinical behavioral approach. This model has proven successful and yielded positive results for the organization and the individuals served.
