Rockland Trust Appoints John Cotton Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer

Rockland Trust has announced that John Cotton has been appointed Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, for the bank’s Commercial Banking division in Hyannis.

Cotton will focus on developing and strengthening the bank’s business lending relationships throughout the South Shore and Cape Cod regions. He will also pursue new lending opportunities for existing properties, construction, new development and community redevelopment projects.

 “We are thrilled to have John join our team in Hyannis and oversee business development and commercial relationships for our Cape Cod and South Shore communities,” said Marilyn Agulnick-House, First Vice President and Commercial Lending Center Manager at Rockland Trust. “John’s track record in new business development, as well as his dedication to community service, make him a perfect fit for this role.”

Cotton has a diverse array of experience in commercial lending, business development and sales. Before joining the bank, he spent eight years at First Citizen’s Federal Credit Union as Vice President of Commercial Lending, where he collaborated with key partners to create effective sales strategies to drive commercial loan growth.

He is serving his third term as a Mashpee Selectman and has been on the board of directors for the Cape Cod Home Builders Association since 2016.

Cotton is a graduate of Emmanuel College, where he received a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration. He resides in Mashpee.
