ROVA Selects Hoffman For Board Of Advisors

ROVA of Hingham, an on-demand delivery platform which has officially launched in the Boston market, has named Steven Hoffman of Lincoln to the firm’s board of advisors.

Hoffman brings a wealth of business operations and consulting expertise to his role with ROVA, where he will volunteer his time to advise the firm on strategy for introducing and bringing its unique delivery platform to market. 

He is an experienced business leader who has served in a number of capacities at corporations in Massachusetts and is currently chairman of the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, a position he has held since 2017.

Hoffman is a former partner at Bain & Company, where he was managing director of the Boston office. Bain & Company is separate from Bain Capital. In his capacity at Partner, he oversaw the Boston office with more than 600 employees. He was previously a senior vice president at CSC Index (Computer Science Corporation), with significant work in business re-engineering.

Hoffman has also served as Chief Executive Officer for two venture capital companies, including Thinkfire and Exchange Partners.
A Boston native, he graduated from Brookline High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wesleyan University, and and MBA in finance/business statistics from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
