The 28th annual SCORE Small Business Awards on Thursday, June 10, at 8:30 a.m. will recognize outstanding businesses of 2021.
SCORE will honor its Small Business of the Year (Greenbird Landscaping of Centerville), Nonprofit of the Year (Lower Cape Outreach Council in Orleans) and Small Business Champion (BizChecks Payroll in Marston Mills) while chambers of commerce will recognize their town’s best with the Build A Better Mousetrap Award.
A special segment will recognize Wendy Northcross for her commitment to the growth of small businesses during her time as CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. Northcross is retiring this year from the chamber. Kicking off the event will be Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Northcross, each hailing the power of small business.
The Build a Better Mousetrap Awards recognize the innovation and success of businesses in the individual towns and villages as nominated by the chambers. The 2021 chamber winners are: Cape Cod Canal: Bourne TV; Sandwich: Wish Gift; Falmouth: Lowell Instruments LLC; Mashpee: Cape Cod Coffee; Hyannis: Bennett Gallery; Yarmouth: Beef Jerky Outlet; Dennis: Fleeting Moments Photography; Harwich: Consigning Women; Chatham: Hangar B Eatery; Brewster: Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters; Orleans: Nauset Farms; Wellfleet: Drift Home Gift; Provincetown: The Canteen; Martha’s Vineyard: Shored Up Digital; and Nantucket: ACK 4170.
